María Fernanda was chosen by J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship 2020-2021 award. This scholarship program is unique in its approach to leadership development in an integral way, through academic courses, training workshops and seminars, pilot projects, and community involvement.
The program invites young and mid-career professionals from designated countries to the United States for a year of non-degree graduate-level study, leadership development, and professional collaboration with U.S. counterparts.
María is one of the Venezuelans appointed to represent the country in the program. This will be a great opportunity to deepen her knowledge in Public Policy Analysis and Public Administration at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.
María Fernanda has a degree in International Studies from the Central University of Venezuela, and a diploma in Impact Evaluation of Public Policies and Social Programs from the The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
Currently, she works as Project Manager at company B, Triple P Latin America, which disseminates a system of evidence-based methodologies from the University of Queensland, Australia.
